Last week I concluded my first week back to work after a vacation. This as many of you know is so hard and sometimes you just never want to work again, you want to stay on permanent vacation and get paid for it. Since that is a dream that will never come true I am enjoying showing off my pictures from Michigan here are a few of my favorites....

TRADIIIITION TRADITION!!!!!
As I would suspect I could not go another year without the yearly Corn Night. For those of you that don't have a clue what I am talking about I will try to explain but as expected when trying to describe tradition many things get lost in translation. Yearly, the Jager family, will gather to pick corn, husk corn, cook corn, remove cooked corn from cob, place removed corn into baggies which are distributed to all those who want. The purpose of this is to be able to have access to corn all times of year and it is the BEST corn ever.
It has been at least 11 years since I have been been involved with this process, I have however reaped the benefits since every year when I come home I am able to gobble up the yummy Jager corn. During my annual Russ' visit we received an SOS call to help with the process. This was the last thing I wanted to do, but I feared my relatives may withhold the corn since I have not participated for years. Yes they are a loving and kind group but they will revoke my corn rights.
As you can see Child Labor Laws don't apply. Sam and Lilly working hard..

Yes I did work... (very old CornGirl)

Woke up this morning...

So you know that Sopranos theme song? I had that in my head when I took this picture. I woke up on my first day of vacation in MI ready to face the world but not as much as I would soon find out. I woke up and went out the basement door to look at my moms flowers the sun was shining and all was good with the world except when I heard the door click. The door locked. I am standing in pajamas, crazy old crocked glasses, and stinky morning breath. The world was not prepared for this much Andrea. I tried to clear my head, what telephone numbers do i remember? 2 my dads and Spamans. However the numbers don't make any difference when you don't have a phone. I did what any locked out person would do I walked to the building office. The people on the way are casualties I think in my heart they also were half blind. I am sure it has been some time since they have seen a crazed red-head in pajamas walking down their quiet street.
I made it to the office walked in and of course there is a cousin of mine working at the front desk. I have to explain why I look so crazy, Umm hi I am Rol and Trish Jager's daughter and I am stinky and not wearing a bra and I locked myself out. Cindy, the cousin, was so nice she let me use her cell phone and I called the only 2 numbers I could remember. I knew that 9 times out of 10 my dad will not be in his office and I had no idea if Spamans would answer. No luck then I remembered a great invention called the TELEPHONE BOOK hello!!! I was able to call my mom and she gave me the code to get in.
Now I am safely back in the house calm and chalking this up as my 2ND adventure on my trip.
